A Residential Feel on a Hospital Campus
Tahoe Forest Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility
The skilled nursing facility (SNF) expansion adds seven new patient rooms with related support spaces, including nurse station, clean/soiled utility rooms, and patient and public support spaces. This project replaces SNF patient rooms located in the 1952 non-compliant building, upgrades existing components, and redefines the main public entrance to the facility.
The addition features a new public entry and canopy with a gabled roof design to provide a more residential feel. The entry was relocated to the public side of the hospital campus, away from the back of house and service functions. The design features wood soffits, laminate flooring, and wall coverings to produce a warm, residential feeling.
