The solutions FreemanWhite generated as part of a Facilities Master Plan entailed a domino effect between different departments, requiring a new level of collaboration between groups that had historically maintained independence from one another. One key initiative included planning for surgical growth and expanded capacity.
We analyzed future surgical needs using both historical data and comprehensive dashboard models. This allowed us to test a range of scenarios for utilization, service line growth, and strategic planning. Our planning team recommended five new ORs to replace existing substandard ORs and a PACU addition between the ICU and surgery.
The Perioperative Services Expansion project consists of a four-story expansion to the existing Surgery Department, Sterile Processing Department, Materials Management loading dock and general stores areas, and kitchen storage.
