For this project, which was the first of its kind in the Southeast and only the fourth in the country, Haskell upfit a recently completed OR with the BrainSuite iCT equipment by BrainLab. The project included conversion of an existing storage room into an equipment control room and computer room. The ceiling system was upgraded to support new equipment and an energy chain track, and the floor slab was modified to receive the custom floor rails on which the iCT travels.
The BrainSuite iCT is an integrated OR solution that combines VectorVision sky navigation with an intra-operative CT scanner and operating table with a radiolucent tabletop. Unique BrainLab technology makes it possible to automatically register images taken intra-operatively.
With excellent bone-to-soft-tissue contrast, BrainSuite iCT is ideal for a variety of surgical disciplines. With versatile patient positioning possibilities via an adjustable OR table and extra-large scanner gantry bore, BrainSuite iCT offers comfortable, high quality patient treatment. Its integrated design guarantees simplified clinical workflow for a wide range of surgical specialties, including neuro, spinal, ENT, head & neck, craniofacial, and trauma.
